How about paper punches? Don’t forget you can get two for one by gluing the punch out to a tag AND backing the hole cut out with contrasting paper.

Rubber stamps are always fun. A simple outline, color them in, emboss them ….what suits your desire and schedule.

Adding a hole with a regular hole punch and adding twisted two color string or a festive ribbon not only gives it pizzazz but a professional flare as well.

Dirty Little Santa Gnome

You’d be dirty too, if you went down people’s chimneys. While this fun little guy is a Santa Claus he could be a gnome for any season when dressed in other colors. If you don’t like the dirty look, you can easily choose a whiter color for his beard.

Check out our library for a FREE printable pdf. The pattern is in color so you can print on white card stock and cut the pieces out or print out a paper pattern to be used over and over. We recommend using a small punch at the top out Santa’s hat for hanging. Alternately you could sandwich a string between the front and an added body blank adhered to the back. Better yet why not make him double sided? One clean and the other dirty! Just remember to mirror image the pieces on the back side.

Want a SVG cutting file?

Not only will a cut file be available for the Dirty Santa Gnome, there will be a bonus gnome design. Plus learn how to upgrade them both.

Tonttu is a small creature from Finnish mythology. He lives in and protects the home. It is very important to treat him with respect otherwise he may become mischievous. Occasionally he can be found in the forest. Perhaps he has been treated poorly and is looking for a new home to look after – maybe yours! Some cultures may call him a gnome or tomte. I just call this elf-like creature cute. This tonttu is easy and quick to make. His spirit is ready to inhabit your home.

Glistening Snowflake CD Ornament

Easy and Inexpensive DiY project

Glistening snowflakes make this ornament especially cool. Pun intended. Upcycling old compact discs is also very cool. You can use old dvds as well as cds. The snowflake theme extends the use of these ornaments well beyond Christmas for the whole winter long. The contrast makes the snowflakes really stand out.
They are quite elegant yet very simple to make. In fact, if you can color you can make these. You likely have everything on hand to make these and since recycled cds are the base, the ornaments cost practically nothing to make.
