Do you have an older furnace? Then you need to check out the combustion chamber liner because once it is gone the burner flame will literally burn a hole through your furnace fire box. Think you are all set as you have your furnace serviced annually? WRONG! Failing to have this checked and replaced if necessary will cost you megabucks $$$$$$ as you will need a new furnace. Glad you enjoyed our video. Fire brick is made to hold the heat in whereas the material we used is made to protect metal from heat. The fire brick can withstand a higher temperature than metal. To answer your question, we would advise against it.
