Do-it-yourself masks are to be worn in addition to minimum of 6 foot physical social distancing. Please save the supply of the N95 masks for healthcare workers and first responders as they put their lives on the line to save others – maybe even you!
You will need a pair of scissors, ruler and these materials:
7″ by 12″ piece of mask material, yard of elastic cut in half (2 pieces about 18″ long), duct tape (aka Duck tape)

Covid-19 and other viruses are tiny – in the micron range or smaller. How small is that? Move the decimal point 6 points to the left or 0.000001. Our mask likely will not be able to filter out particles of this size. However the virus may be carried by other larger particles which the mask could offer some protection from. If your handmade mask gets the least bit wet with potential contaminants remove it immediately.
Another way our mask can help is that is will protect your nose and mouth from being touched by your hands.
We considered several factors when designing our mask:
Snug fit against the face
Breathability
Reusable
Comfort
Standard surgical style masks gape at the side. Our mask is designed to fit snuggly against the skin to eliminate this.
It also needs to be breathable as you don’t want your body to work harder than normal to getting air into your lungs. Adding more layers will make it more difficult to breathe and thus is not recommended.
The medical grade masks are one time use. Our mask can be laundered with disinfectant agents.
Comfort makes out mask wearable. Face it if isn’t comfortable your won’t use it.
We used a fun cotton fashion fabric for the outside. Why not be fashionable by choosing a fabric theme you love. Cotton flannel was chosen for the inside due to its softness against your skin. This is important because you want it to seal against face for best effectiveness.
We do not recommend you wear any mask constantly. Just wear it when needed and keep it clean. You may want to make several to have a clean one readily available.

Who will be your nominee? Since each one of these wood gnomes has his only personality is will definitely be hard to chose.
Theses needle felted gnomes are super easy to create. The gnomes are made by shaping wool roving and then melding the fibers into each other by poking it up and down with a felting needle. A felting needle does not have an eye so there is threading involved – yeah! Instead a felting needle has tiny barbs on the side near the needle point. I used medium sized needles or 86mm. You will find yourself addicted to making them.

Bean Bag Toss Game
You can make this bean bag toss game yourself and customize it any way you like. Paint it the way you like. We recommend painting the target holes a contrasting color. The bean bags are literally filled with beans.
With the innovative leg design, you can adjust the angle and height any way you desire. Since the support legs are independently adjustable playing on an uneven surface is no problem. The legs are also removable so you can store the game flat or hanging it.
This game is lots of fun for the whole family. It can be played both indoors as well as outdoors.

To make bean bags
Cut 3 dark and 3 light rectangles of fabric 4 1/2″ by 9″
Fold one piece in half right sides together along the 9″ side – it now measures 4 1/2″ square
Sew a narrow seam along 2 open edges
Turn right side out
Fill with beans
Realign open edge so that seam in centered one the former fold line.
Fold in edges and stitch across.
Repeat for remaining bags.
